Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

effects pets as young as 2.5 years old, can be alleviated and prevented by castration.

Prostatitis

When a dog is neutered before puberty, the prostate gland does not develop due to the lack of testosterone. 

Prostatic Abscessation

Dogs with severe prostatic abscesses or cysts and infections can be successfully treated by partial prostatectomy with an ultrasonic surgical aspirator and castration, resulting in long-term disease resolution.

Testicular Tumors/Neoplasia

5%-15% of all tumors seen in male dogs are testicular tumors. Cryptorchid dogs and dogs with inguinal hernias are at greatest risk.

Mammary Tumors/Neoplasia

most common tumor of female dog - representing 50% of all tumors in female dogs. Third most common tumor in cats. Malignant in 50% of dogs and 90% in cats. This is the most aggressive type of cancer in cats.
